Member announcement regarding change of nature of scheduled Special General Meeting on December 12th 2020.
Due to circumstances beyond the control of New Zealand Disc Golf, the Special General Meeting, which was to be held at Bella Rakha Retreat in Auckland, will now not take place.
Instead, a virtual meeting will take place online, using Zoom software. The link to the meeting is attached to this announcement, below.
Board member Mr Chris Smith will now chair the meeting, as Mr Martin Galley has stepped aside from the role due to his being the subject of a members motion. Mr Allen Gorthy will also be present, at the unanimous request of the board, as a sign of its confidence in him.
The time and date remain unchanged: 6pm, on December 12th, 2020.
The board regrets any inconvenience this change to the format causes and reassures members the meeting will go ahead, despite this late change.
The board wishes to encourage all members to participate in the current online vote, which remains open until 6pm on Friday 11th December. Online voting will then re-open at 5.45pm to 6.15pm on 12th December.
Scrutinising of the results will be performed by Luke Hetzel, of Frankly Web, and the final result will be published on the NZDG website (https://www.nzdg.org.nz).

1. Introductory remarks.
Welcome by meeting chair, NZDG board director Chris Smith. How the Special General Meeting will run. E-voting closed 24 hours ago and is now reopened for part of the meeting (until 6.15pm). Vote via device with your voting key.
NB Please have your voting key on hand at this meeting. If you have not received your voting key, you need to have organised this in advance of the meeting by emailing our independent voting officer luke@franklyweb.nz with your name, preferred email address, date of birth and last New Zealand Disc Golf tour event you played in.
Roles for the meeting are:
Chris Smith to Chair the meeting
Luke Hetzel of Frankly Web to tally and report the voting results
Meeting minutes taken post meeting via recording
2. Online voting until 6.15pm:
(i) Allen Gorthy for the position of chair.
(ii) Acceptance of the amendments to the constitution. The amendments are to improve the constitution’s protection from commercial interest.
(iii) Vote yes or no to confirm Cockroft Thomas, member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), as reviewer of NZDG's annual financial statements, as appointed by the Board, and recommended by them.
(iv) Members’ motion (with 15 signatures) for a vote of Confidence or No Confidence in Martin Galley as a member of the NZDG Board.
